RFA Now Open For Descretionary Funding Initiative
The Office for Research and Innovation (R&I) requests applications for the 2020-2021 Discretionary Funding Initiative (DFI). The Discretionary Funding Initiative, funded by the Michigan State University Foundation, provides bridge funds for tenure stream faculty for additional studies needed for resubmission of an unsuccessful, but nearly fundable application to the same program within an agency.
New NSF BioSketch And Current & Pending Support Effective October 5
The new NSF biographical sketch and current and pending support format requirement was delayed until October 5, 2020 to allow for adequate implementation and training. Based on feedback from the research community, NSF has made several improvements to the NSF-approved Biographical Sketch and Current and Pending Support forms required for all senior personnel included in a proposal. In-depth Video Webinars covering the use of the NSF-approved formats are available on the NSF Policy Outreach website.
2021 Alan T. Waterman Award Nominations Due October 21
The National Science Foundation (NSF) is pleased to accept nominations for the 2021 Alan T. Waterman Award. Established in 1975 to commemorate the Foundation's first Director, the Waterman Award is NSF's highest honor for promising, early-career researchers.
